Leanne is responsible for Ursa’s strategic direction and day-to-day operations. She is a retired Colonel in the US Air Force having held numerous leadership positions to include Commander, 607th Weather Squadron, US Forces Korea Staff Weather Officer, Deputy Chief, Weather Policy Division at Headquarters Air Force, 11th Mission Support Group Deputy Commander of Bolling Air Force Base and Chief, Weather Policy and Exploitation Division, HQ Air Force, Pentagon.
Of note, Leanne completed US Army Airborne School and became the first female weather officer to fill an Army “jump” billet as the Assistant XVIII Airborne Corps Staff Weather Officer. She also deployed to Bosnia as the 401st Expeditionary Weather Squadron Commander, supporting peacekeeping operations in Multinational Division (North).
Leanne holds a Bachelor of Science in Mathematics from Kent State and a Master of Science in Meteorology from North Carolina State.
